Dear Baby,
Now that 2010 is coming to an end, I thought I’d go down memory lane and reminisce…
January-Daddy and I started this year as ‘Husband’ and ‘Wife’ and what an exciting beginning indeed. We were still on ‘Cloud 9’ from our wedding day but we were excited to see what 2010 will bring us. Daddy moved in and having to share MY space was…well, it wasn’t easy to say the least. But having your Daddy next to me before going to sleep and him being there when I wake up is definitely an awesome feeling.
March-Daddy and I celebrated our honeymoon by going on a Mexican Riviera cruise aboard the Carnival Splendor. It was a long week cruise and we were so excited. This was the 2nd Mexican Riviera cruise for us but our first time on the Carnival cruise line. We were having a blast until…on our last stop in Los Cabos Daddy had a health scare. He was having trouble breathing after our swim and they rushed him to the hospital. The DRs there said it was a mild heart attack. Daddy and I had to exit the boat and stayed in Mexico for further observations. It was quite a scary experience! Daddy and I flew back to L.A. the next day and we were so happy and grateful to be HOME. Daddy got checked with his primary DR and his DR ruled out a heart attack…*whew* thank you Lord!
May-We found out we were pregnant with YOU…Yippee! It was so super exciting. I went to Kaiser by myself the only person that knew I was going in for a pregnancy test was my boss Michele. She knew I was pregnant as soon as I walked in the office because of my big SMILE :] I then told your Daddy, your Mama and Papa, and then your Abuelita and your Tios. It was a happy day indeed.
June-My Dad (your Papa) celebrated his 60th Birthday. Papa doesn't look his age and doesn't act like it either...haha! He is such a kid at heart and you are definitely gonna love him. He's a lot of fun. Let's just hope he doesn't teach you too many nonsense stuff though or else it might drive Mommy and Daddy crazy...ha! Anyways, he celebrated his BIG 6-0 by having some kind of gathering everyday for the week of his birthday.
….to be continued…

36 WEEKS
Dear Baby,
OMG! You are now 36 WEEKS OLD...eeek! It's so weird because even though I know I'm pregnant...I mean my gosh I look the part and all. I even have this blog for You and your Daddy and I just opened a lot of wonderful and cute gifts that we got from your shower but quite honestly part of me was STILL in denial that I have YOU growing in my belly...weird right? Now that we're about 4 weeks away (give or take) from labor I am totally FREAKING OUT!!! Don't get me wrong I am super excited as well but the thought of bringing You into this world is just...I can't even think of the word to decribe what I'm feeling.
I'm scared of being the hospital and I've heard too many scary labor stories. I've heard a lot of good ones too but of course I know it's going to be a PAINFUL experience. *sigh* Oh well, I'm just gonna have to be a strong Momma for You right? Right!!! But man, I am so super excited to be able to hold You and kiss You and hug You and just love You to pieces! I'm sure it's gonna be an awesome feeling to give birth (after all the pain of course) and experience that miracle...wow! Your Daddy and I have been wondering who You're gonna like-me or him...I say You're gonna look like your Daddy :] Oh man, I'm getting the chills just thinking about it now...hehehe :]
So, let's see what BabyCenter has to say about You today:
How your baby's growing:
Your baby is still packing on the pounds — at the rate of about an ounce a day. She now weighs almost 6 pounds (like a crenshaw melon) and is more than 18 1/2 inches long. She's shedding most of the downy covering of hair that covered her body as well as the vernix caseosa, the waxy substance that covered and protected her skin during her nine-month amniotic bath. Your baby swallows both of these substances, along with other secretions, resulting in a blackish mixture, called meconium, will form the contents of her first bowel movement.
At the end of this week, your baby will be considered full-term. (Full-term is 37 to 42 weeks; babies born before 37 weeks are pre-term and those born after 42 are post-term.) Most likely she's in a head-down position. But if she isn't, your practitioner may suggest scheduling an "external cephalic version," which is a fancy way of saying she'll try to coax your baby into a head-down position by manipulating her from the outside of your belly.
How far along: 36 weeks
Maternity Clothes: NOTHING fits!!! hahaha...ok I'm a little too dramatic but it's pretty sad how HUGE I'm seriously getting...ugh! <-- feeling the SAME thing!!!
Sleep: I try to sleep sitting up and it works for about a good hour before I have to find another comfortable position or before I have to wake up and pee...AGAIN!
Best Moment of the Week: Last week was full of fun times. We celebrated your Daddy's bday and Christmas. I'm sure you enjoyed it because Mommy ate a lot of good food :)
Movement: Mommy loves feeling you move and the DRs say that an active baby is a good baby but can you please, pretty please, not move around so much when it's time to sleep :( If this is any indication of how you'll be when you're here then Mommy and Daddy is in trouble!
Food Craving: No cravings for me this past week but Mommy ate a lot of tamales...YUM!
Gender: You're a baby BOY...right? No surprises please...
What I'm looking forward to: I am scared but I am most definitely looking forward to the day when your lease is up in my belly, the day we get to meet You...SUPER EXCITING!
Weekly Wisdom: EVERYONE keeps telling to do A LOT of walking so I really NEED to try and do that! Help Mommy out k? <--I still need to do this...

We're all OK
Dear Baby,
Yesterday was a good and bad day for us. Let me start with the bad part of the day and end with the good part so that this post can end with a smile. You and Mommy had another DRs appointment yesterday and Daddy drove us to Kaiser. We were about a minute or two away from the hospital when this van hit Daddy's car. Thank goodness it wasn't that bad and nobody got hurt but it was still pretty scary. Mommy immediately felt her belly tighten up. I stayed in the car while Daddy talked to the other driver about the damages and what happened. The other driver is this old lady (probably in her 70s) and she had a lady friend with her in the passenger seat. She wrote down her information and I did the same for your Daddy. We exchanged papers where we had our information and Daddy and I left so we can see the DR right away.
We told Mommy's OB what happened and she sent us to Labor & Delivery just to make sure You're OK. They hooked me up in these monitor strips to make sure Your hear rate and movement is normal and also to make sure Mommy's heart rate and blood pressure is stable. They drew blood from Mommy for a CBC and to make sure there was no bleeding in my belly. The nurse told me it would about an hour and if the tests come back normal we would be able to go home. I asked for something to eat because I was getting a little hungry and we didn't eat breakfast yet. (Daddy and I were planning to get something to eat after our DRs appointment) The nurse gave me a turkey sandwich and of course Mommy shared with Daddy :]
About half an hour later another nurse came back and said they needed to draw blood from me AGAIN because my blood was stuck in the shaft somewhere and they couldn't find it. UGH! They have this tube system that they use to send blood from the 3rd floor to the 1st floor laboratory and the nurse didn't know it wasn't working. When she called the lab to check on the results, they told her they never got Mommy's blood. Oh my goodness! The second time hurt a little bit and it was not fun. We had to wait AGAIN. We waited and we waited and we waited. Mommy had to pee and I held it for as long as I could because having to pee meant calling one of the nurses to unplug the monitor and then wait for them to plug me back in. I was getting thirsty and hungry and sleepy and it was just not comfortable anymore.
We were there from noon and they discharged us at almost 7pm. Within that time frame they probably delivered about 6 babies. That's almost 1 baby every hour. Although it was kind of cool to hear a new born baby cry, Daddy and I were getting frustrated because they didn't have time to check on us because of all the deliveries they had to deal with. Sorry if that sounds a little selfish but we just wanted to go home already. We are so glad You're OK and that Mommy wasn't in any pain but the waiting part was just terrible. As soon as the DR came to tell me all the results are normal and we can go home, I almost ran out of that hospital. Daddy and I bought chinese food for dinner and off to the house we go. Mama and Papa were so worried about us and greeted Mommy at the door as soon as we got home. *thank you God that we are all safe and healthy*
So half of the good part was finding out You're OK and the second half is that You are now 35 WEEKS OLD. You turned 35 weeks old yesterday. The DRs told me it'd be OK if Mommy went into labor yesterday if need be and they also said that anytime now would be OK for you to come out of Mommy's belly already. Daddy was happy to hear that because he wants You to be a December baby. When the DR asked me what I want, I told him I just want You to come out when You're ready and as long as You're healthy then that's all that matters. Your due date is January 25 but if You think You're ready to come out of Mommy's belly then that's totally up to You. Let's just not enjoy it too much in there OK?
Anyways, here's what BabyCenter has to say about You today:
How your baby's growing:
Your baby doesn't have much room to maneuver now that he's over 18 inches long and tips the scales at 5 1/4 pounds (pick up a honeydew melon). Because it's so snug in your womb, he isn't likely to be doing somersaults anymore, but the number of times he kicks should remain about the same. His kidneys are fully developed now, and his liver can process some waste products. Most of his basic physical development is now complete — he'll spend the next few weeks putting on weight.

Happy Birthday to your Daddy
Dear Baby,
Today is your Daddy's birthday! He is now 27 years old...yup, he's younger than Mommy :] I mean it's only 3 years but he swears he's a lot younger. Maybe it's because he's more immature than Mommy....hehehe :] Daddy is at home probably still asleep and snoring his butt off...ha! Don't tell him I said that. This will be the 4th birthday that Daddy has shared with Mommy since we met.
December 2007-we were supposed to go to Disneyland but Mommy couldn't get the day off so we bought his fave chinese food, his fave cake, and celebrated his birthday with at my house with my parents :]
December 2008-Daddy surprised Mommy with a cruise to Mexico for Christmas this year and we left on the day of his birthday. So we celebrated his birthday on the ship by going to dinner and exploring the Princess Cruise Line...that trip was AMAZING! Daddy proposed to Mommy on this trip Christmas morning :] Your Daddy is the sweetest!
December 2009-Mommy took Daddy to Disneyland to celebrate his birthday. He had an AMAZING time. It was his first time going to Disneyland during the holidays and he LOVED everything about it. Mommy and Daddy had so much fun. He actually wanted to celebrate his birthday every year by going to Disneyland but since You're in Mommy's tummy this year, it just wasn't a good idea. I'd be too darn tired to walk around and it's a bummer that I won't be able to go on any rides. So maybe we'll continue that tradition next year and have You join us...we'll see.
Mommy will take him to his FAVE burger joint for dinner tonight. I asked him where he wanted to eat and he said he wants Yanakis so that's where we're going. Your Daddy can't get enough of that place. He and his little brother (your Tio Cheo) LOVEs eating at Yanakis. It's not healthy since it's burger and fries so we try to not go there a lot but if it was up to your Daddy, he would probably eat there every chance he can get.
What Daddy doesn't know however is that I invited a few of his buddies to meet us there for dinner. I invited 4 of his buddies that he grew up with and they too love this burger joint as much as your Daddy does. I hope your Daddy likes his surprise. It's so cool of his buddies to meet up with us, especially on short notice. You see, your Daddy is one of those people that is hard to shop for and is not easy to surprise. He wants what he wants and there's no in betweens. He hasn't given me any hints on what he wants for his birthday so I think I'm just gonna have to take him to the mall one of these days and let him pick something out for himself. I just thought of inviting his friends a few days ago and am so glad they are free and agreed to meet up with us later. Hopefully I remember to take pictures later so I can post some tomorrow.

6 more weeks Kid
Dear Baby,
Guess what today is? Today, You are now 34 WEEKS OLD! Yippee :] That means You will leave Mommy's tummy and join us in this wonderful and crazy world in about 6 weeks (give or take)...oh I am so super excited to meet You already! Everyone keeps asking me if I'm hoping you'll look like me or your Daddy. My answer...I just want a healthy baby and an easy breezy labor please :]
So let's see what BabyCenter has to say about You today Kiddo:
How your baby's growing:
Your baby now weighs about 4 3/4 pounds (like your average cantaloupe) and is almost 18 inches long. Her fat layers — which will help regulate her body temperature once she's born — are filling her out, making her rounder. Her skin is also smoother than ever. Her central nervous system is maturing and her lungs are continuing to mature as well. If you've been nervous about preterm labor, you'll be happy to know that babies born between 34 and 37 weeks who have no other health problems generally do fine. They may need a short stay in the neonatal nursery and may have a few short-term health issues, but in the long run, they usually do as well as full-term babies.
How far along: 34 weeks
Maternity Clothes: NOTHING fits!!! hahaha...ok I'm a little too dramatic but it's oretty sad how HUGE I'm seriously getting...ugh!
Sleep: I want to sleep so bad...oh how I truly miss it so :( I'll try to take a nap here and there every chance I get now but sleeping at night? Forget about it and then waking up early to go to work...*sigh*
Best Moment of the Week: Mommy went in for a DRs appointment and hearing your heart beat again was just so darn cool :]
Movement: Mommy is still loving the feeling of your movements. Some of them kinda hurt me now though, especially near my ribs.
Food Craving: This past week Mommy has been wanting to eat pretzels from the mall :] and your Daddy was nice enough to buy them for me everytime I've asked for some :] First ones I asked for were plain pretzel bites and then a day later Mommy craved for some almond crunch pretzels...YUM-O!
Gender: I was talking to this girl and she said they told her she was having a baby boy. She had her baby shower and the nursery was all ready and then at about 36 weeks, they told her that she was now having a baby girl! OMG! This scenario is Mommy's nightmare! Don't get me wrong, I will love You with all of my heart and soul regardless of your gender but I really hope that the ultrasound wasn't wrong :( I hope the DR will do another ultrasound soon just to confirm You're a BOY or I hope we can do one of those 3D-4D ultrasound thingy this weekend.
What I'm looking forward to: Your Baby Shower is coming up and I am so excited to see friends and family and celebrate with them. You're gonna feel a lot of hands rubbing my belly I'm sure :] <--Your baby shower is this Saturday and Mommy is super excited to see friends and family and eat good food and just hang out with all the people that already love You and can't wait to meet You :]
Weekly Wisdom: EVERYONE keeps telling to do A LOT of walking so I really NEED to try and do that! Help Mommy out k?

MORE gifts for You my LiL One
Dear Baby,

Dear Baby,
Look what someone gave You!
Yup, You got gifts from Mommy's far away co-workers--Rickey and his son Jacob. They're Mommy's far away co-workers because they live up in northern California...technically they're not co-worker either but that's another story for another day...hehe :) Let's just call these two cool dudes Grandpa Rickey and Uncle Jacob :] I haven't met Jacob yet and we've only talked via email and/or phone but Rickey is...well...how can I describe this guy? hahaha...he is super funny and super nice but he is one of the biggest brats I know :] I hope you'll get to meet them one day. They were super nice and thoughtful and got you some pretty cool things.
Here are the pictures:
***Dear Grandpa Rickey and Uncle Jacob,

SEVEN
Dear Baby,
Today, You are now 33 WEEKS OLD...yippee! This means we get to meet you in about 7 weeks...give or take. That all depends on when YOU want to come out of Mommy's belly. Although I really am hoping that You won't want to stay in there too long. Your due date is either the 17th of January or the 25th...take your pick. I'm gonna leave it up to You k? I'm just gonna continue to pray for an 'easy' labor and I pray and ask God to keep You healthy and strong always. Wow! I just can't believe You're almost here...eeek!
Anyways, let's see what BabyCenter has to say about You today:
How your baby's growing:
This week your baby weighs a little over 4 pounds (heft a pineapple) and has passed the 17-inch mark. He's rapidly losing that wrinkled, alien look and his skeleton is hardening. The bones in his skull aren't fused together, which allows them to move and slightly overlap, thus making it easier for him to fit through the birth canal. (The pressure on the head during birth is so intense that many babies are born with a conehead-like appearance.) These bones don't entirely fuse until early adulthood, so they can grow as his brain and other tissue expands during infancy and childhood.
How far along: 33 weeks
Maternity Clothes: Lovin' the new pants. Like I said before, I got them a little bigger but they're still comfy.
Sleep: What's sleep again? Can't really remember what that is anymore :( OK this week has been extremely hard for Mommy. First I was up coughing all night and I'm sure You didn't like that either. And now, Daddy is sick so he's the one that's coughing and tossing and turning at night. And then, if Daddy cough, snores, or moves...You my LiL One responds to that and moves too. Oh geez! Poor Mommy :(
Best Moment of the Week: Mommy received a gift from 2 cool dudes for You :] Rickey and Jacob (father&son) from JTS Sales Group are so sweet to think of You and bought you all these kinds of cute stuff (I'll post pics of that tomorrow)
Movement: Still moving around in there but I don't think you have a lot of room so I don't feel you doing cartwheels anymore. I feel like you're stretching out Mommy's belly to make more room for You. Good for You but bad for Mommy's belly and that means MORE stretch marks :(
Food Craving: Mommy and your Auntie Love aka Auntie LJ (mommy's older sis) met up for a good old pinoy breakfast last Sunday and it was DELISH :]
Gender: I can't wait to meet our LiL Peanut aka our LiL Rookie aka my LiL Peanut-butter cookie aka my SON...wow, what an amazing feeling that I am going to be YOUR mommy :]
I am so lucky and grateful that God chose ME to be YOUR Mommy!
What I'm looking forward to: Your Baby Shower is coming up and I am so excited to see friends and family and celebrate with them. You're gonna feel a lot of hands rubbing my belly I'm sure :]
Weekly Wisdom: I've been (or at least trying to) eat small meals every 2 hours instead of waiting until I get end up eating a lot because I'm already so hungry.

Your very own BLANKIE LiL One
Dear Baby,
Mommy and Daddy got a surprise gift from a very special person to give to you last week. My niece Amber (your ateBeb) handed Daddy a blanket that her Grandma Roberta (we call call her 'MoM') made just for YOU! I had no idea she was making You something and Amber didn't say anything to me about it at all. When Daddy and I dropped off my sister (your Auntie Love) from the airport last Sunday she handed the blanket to Daddy and we were both so surprised and so grateful that MoM thought of You and made You something so special.
*MoM-thank you so very much for such the special gift that you made for our LiL One. Adrian and I are so grateful that you did that for Baby Timmy and we'll make sure he knows how that his blanket was made with LOVE.
*GrandMoM-thank you for my very first blankie!
Love, Baby Timmy
Here's a few pictures of your blankey:

8 more weeks!
Dear Baby,
You are now 32 WEEKS OLD today! That means we are now just 8 weeks away from our due date...yippee! A lot of people are telling me that I'm not going to make it to 40 weeks and that You'll be here before your due date. Who knows right? You'll come out when You're ready to come and join us. Mommy is patient and will be as ready as can be when the time comes. All I ask is that You're strong and healthy.
So here's what BabyCenter has to say about You today:
How your baby's growing:
By now, your baby weighs 3.75 pounds (pick up a large jicama) and is about 16.7 inches long, taking up a lot of space in your uterus. You're gaining about a pound a week and roughly half of that goes right to your baby. In fact, she'll gain a third to half of her birth weight during the next 7 weeks as she fattens up for survival outside the womb. She now has toenails, fingernails, and real hair (or at least respectable peach fuzz). Her skin is becoming soft and smooth as she plumps up in preparation for birth.
How far along: 32 weeks
Maternity Clothes: Mommy bought 3 maternity jeans and got them a little bigger so that hopefully I can grown into them and not have to buy anymore. I have to stop wearing dresses and skirts because the weather has been so cold and windy lately.
Sleep: Dear Sleep, Oh how I miss you so very much :( I still miss you Sleep and since I've been sick, I'm lucky to even get a full hour of sleep without having to change position, use the restroom, drink water, fix my blanket, or have my cough wake me up...SO frustrating!
Best Moment of the Week: Thanksgving Day was a success and everything I cooked turned out YUMMY :) Another best moment was Sunday-Mommy&Daddy's 1st year anniversary as husband and wife!
Movement: You seem to be loving it in Mommy's belly LiL One. I too am loving all your movements in there. Let's just try to not do cartwheels when Mommy is trying to sleep ok? Please...
Food Craving: No cravings for me lately...weird right?
Gender: I can't wait to meet our LiL Peanut aka our LiL Rookie aka my LiL Peanut-butter cookie aka my SON...wow, what an amazing feeling that I am going to be YOUR mommy :)
What I'm looking forward to: Holding You and Kissing You and Hugging You and just Loving You to pieces!<--I'm still looking forward to this :)
Weekly Wisdom: Now that I'm getting closer to my due date and getting bigger, I seriously am LOVING being pregnant. I guess I've been blessed with the 'pregnancy glow'

Happy Thanksgiving
Dear Baby,
This weekend was super nice and super cool that Mommy and Daddy didn't have to work for 4 straight days! We had Thursday for Thanksgiving off plus Friday and the of course our usual Saturday and Sunday off...NICE! The only bad thing about it was---Mommy got sick :( oh boo! Mommy wasn't sick on Thanksgiving Day though...whew! I'm still a little bit sick right now but I can manage. Mommy has a cough that just won't go away :(
Anyways, let me tell You what we did on Thanksgiving Day---Mommy started chopping and preparing for our Thanksgiving meal at 9am! That's early huh? I started by chopping up all the veggies for the stuffing, peeled and chopped up the potatoes for mashed potatoes, and peeled and choppped up the sweet potatoes for the sweet potato bake. Mommy also prepared the turkey by putting ayummy spice rub on it for extra flavor. Your Daddy was in charge of cleaning and re-arranging the living room ( he did an awesome job by the way). Oh, and he cleaned out the fireplace too. Your (Grandpa) Papa was in charge of cleaning the backyard and the garage. Daddy also helped Mommy by mashing the potatoes, sweet potatoes, basting the turkey every hour, and pretty much helped me with whatever I needed...awwwww kudos to your Daddy :)
Our guests came at about 7pm and it was perfect timing because Mommy was so hungry and oh so tired by that time. All I wanted to do was eat and relax. The guests that came for Thanksgiving were; your Abuelita Norma, your Tio Esteban, your Tio Eliseo, your Auntie Sherry, your Uncle Leleng, your Uncle Klint, and a few of your Papa's buddies. And our menu consists of:
*a yummy 15 pound turkey and gravy
*stuffing
*sliced baked ham
*creamed corn and regular corn
*cranberry sauce
*sweet potato bake
*mashed potatoes
*roasted potatoes
*green bean casserole
*egg rolls (courtesy of Mommy's co-worker Thai)
*and refried beans (your Abuelita made it)
*chocolate chip pumkpin bread (Mommy's co-worker Michele made it)
*store bought pecan pie
*store bought apple pie
*store bought dinner rolls
Everyone LOVED Mommy's cooking...yay! :) Sad to say, I didn't take any pictures :( I totally forgot about taking pictures. I think because Mommy was so tired already but I did get a picture of the turkey...hehehe :)

Yippee! Another week older
Dear Baby,
You and Mommy just got back from our DRs appointment with Dr. Nakashima. We had a 9am appointment today and everything went well. Daddy only worked 3 hours because he wanted to join us for this visit. He missed a few already because of work but he said he's gonna try to not miss anymore. So the DR checked to see if Your heartbeat was OK (she said it sounded 'perfect'), measured Mommy's tummy (she said my belly is growing just fine--even though Daddy and Mama thinks it's TOO BIG), checked Mommy's weight (Mommy gained another pound in 2 weeks) and blood pressure (it was OK), and tested Mommy's urine too. Mommy needs to start taking iron pills twice a day now and when we see the DR again in 2 weeks, she said she wants me to do some more blood work just to make sure my sugar and iron levels are OK.
Oh, and guess what today is? You are now 31 WEEKS OLD!!! A lot of people are telling me this pregnancy is going by so fast but here I am wanting it to be 40 weeks already so you can come out of Mommy's belly and join us in this crazy world...hehe :) It's weird because part of me wants you outta there already but the other part is loving the fact You're growing in my belly and like I said before...I am loving my BIG belly right now :) Every movement from you puts a smile on my face--except for the movements you make while Mommy is trying to sleep :( Let's try to keep that to a minimum shall we? Thanks Kid!
So, let's see what BabyCenter has to say about You today:
How your baby's growing:
This week, your baby measures over 16 inches long. He weighs about 3.3 pounds (try carrying four navel oranges) and is heading into a growth spurt. He can turn his head from side to side, and his arms, legs, and body are beginning to plump out as needed fat accumulates underneath his skin. He's probably moving a lot, too, so you may have trouble sleeping because your baby's kicks and somersaults keep you up. Take comfort: All this moving is a sign that your baby is active and healthy.
